Asset Allocation Modeling

HWCP has created and maintains a proprietary Dynamic Asset Allocation Model that utilizes state of the art processes in seeking to consistently identify through time the most attractive combination of risk adjusted return opportunities between and among the fourteen major asset classes identified by HWCP as being a representative and complete sample of the global investment opportunity set. These asset classes are listed below and are in terms of a United States investor:

Domestic Equity: Large Cap, Mid Cap, Small Cap

International Equity: Developed Market, Emerging Market

Equity Like: Commodity, Real Estate

Global Fixed Income (Short Term): Investment Grade Aggregate

Global Fixed Income (Long Term): Investment Grade Aggregate

Global Fixed Income (Specialty): High Yield, Mortgage Backed, Inflation Protected

Hybrid/Hedged: Multi-Strategy

Cash

Through the recurring employment of this Model, HWCP will construct a series of customized Target Portfolios corresponding to each of the investor Profiles that are designed to maximize future investment return given the targeted level of acceptable volatility. All HWCP Target Portfolio rebalancing will occur on a regular and timely basis and will incorporate proprietary estimates for both asset class expected return and future asset class risk and correlation. Techniques of portfolio optimization, Monte Carlo simulation, and non-normal curve statistical analysis will be utilized in these efforts.

The Target Portfolio developed for each of the five HWCP Investor Profiles will not be static in nature, but will instead retain a great deal of flexibility to allow for a more realistic assessment of the prospective return potential (on an absolute as well as relative basis) offered by each of the included asset classes utilized in the portfolio construction process.

Risk Profiling

HWCP has identified five major investor Profiles that collectively encompass the full range of investor behaviors and attitudes toward risk and return. These Profiles individually possess a unique combination of investment return expectations and risk tolerance limitations. The five distinct HWCP investor Profiles are designated as follows: Defensive, Conservative, Balanced, Progressive, and Dynamic.

These Profiles will serve as the underlying basis upon which HWCP creates the consulting-oriented Target Portfolios. In the attempt to maximize future risk adjusted return potential, the capital markets will be continually assessed in order to identify any structural market dislocations or risk-oriented paradigm shifts as they arise. This process will serve to update, adjust, and/or confirm as necessary the levels of forward looking expected return and volatility embedded into each respective investor Profile over time.

The HWCP risk profiling methodology is specifically designed to align investor interests with realistic capital market conditions, and seeks to reduce to the greatest extent possible the unfortunate mismatch that so often occurs between investor expectations and future market return potential.

Working with Advisors

HWCP was established in 2008 to provide best-in-class investment advisory expertise to the fast growing universe of Financial Advisors and Wealth Managers. HWCP provides investment advisory consulting expertise to RIA’s in the following two general areas: Multi-Strategy asset allocation modeling and third party investment manager search/due diligence

HWCP strives at all times to customize its consulting efforts on behalf of Advisors to suit particular client requirements. To the extent that an Advisor has an investment advisory request outside the normal scope of the HWCP service offering, HWCP will undertake any such projects to the fullest extent of its capabilities.

To further enhance the value proposition of the HWCP investment advisory consulting services, HWCP offers its capabilities to RIAs on a monthly basis without the requirement of a long-term contractual relationship.
